Attractive in terms of price, CBD resin attracts consumers because of its high cannabidiol concentration, but beware: it's not like any other hemp-derived product. Here's our advice on how to make the most of CBD resin.
Reminder: what is CBD resin?
CBD resin, more commonly known as hashish, is a product derived from hemp and, in particular, from female cannabis flowers. In fact, female cannabis flowers produce a thick, sticky substance called hashish when not pollinated.
This material is made up of trichomes, the microscopic crystals that enable the production of cannabinoids (including CBD), as well as terpenes and flavonoids that give it its unique aromas and flavours. CBD resins are obtained by separating the trichomes from the flower buds. Resin can be harvested either by hand, by mechanically beating the plants or by soaking the flowers in ice-cold water and then sieving them to recover the necessary parts.

Cooking with your CBD resin
CBD hashish can be used in a variety of ways, but cooking is one of the most fun ways to use it, as it's completely edible. Here's how to do it, but beware: using potent CBD resin in the kitchen is relatively difficult - it's not for weekend cooks!
Before you get your hands dirty, you need to decarboxylate the cannabis resin by putting it in the oven for 1 hour at 110/115 degrees. Next, remember that cannabidiol (in whatever form it's marketed) is fat-soluble. It must therefore be processed with a fatty substance. So opt for a recipe that calls for oil or butter. CBD cookies and brownies are yours!
Vaporize your CBD resin
Vaporizing CBD resin is another consumption option for users who don't have the talents of Philippe Etchebest. To use CBD resin in this way, all you need is a vaporizer.
Then crumble the desired quantity of resin and insert it into the container provided. Be sure to fill the container sufficiently, and press down without exerting too much pressure. Activate the heater between 160 and 220 degrees. Any higher and you run the risk of burning the material, thereby degrading its benefits. The appliance will tell you when the product is ready for consumption.
Warning: smoking CBD resin is unhealthy and illegal
In contrast to vaping, which does not involve the ingestion of any material other than hemp and does not go beyond the point of combustion, we strongly advise against smoking CBD resin. This method of consumption requires the addition of tobacco, which, as we know, is extremely harmful to health. In addition to the smoke inhaled, smoking CBD means burning the product, and we know that combustion is associated with risks of cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Finally, French legislation prohibits smoking CBD. So here's a double warning against this form of consumption.
